Today on BEXSONN.com, we’re revisiting a Heuer post from a few years ago. While some aspects of it may no longer be relevant, it remains an intriguing read. There’s no denying that vintage Heuer chronographs are now more prominent than ever, driven by several factors—most notably their design and rarity. Among all the chronographs Heuer produced in the 1960s and 70s, the Autavia has garnered the most attention, and for good reason. The Autavia was the first Heuer chronograph to be given a name, marking a significant shift from the previous practice of using reference numbers. This change was crucial, as a name is far easier to remember than a series of numbers, making the Autavia stand out even more. In my opinion, this adds an extra layer of uniqueness to the watch.
