I know the title perhaps sounds a little strange but it’s a topic that not only holds true but has allowed watch collectors around the world to form friendships that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. Over the many years since starting this blog, we’ve formed friendships well beyond the realm of watches and that is something that has become more important the older we’ve become. Did you know the mortality rate decreases the lonelier we are, perhaps not that surprising, but those of a certain age will know this is the really fun part of watch collecting: friendship. While collecting watches and showing off your new watch alert instagram posts is okay, the thing that keeps people in this hobby are the other collectors they meet along the way and the friendships they forge. While the watch collecting part is an important aspect of this hobby, we believe the friends we make along the way are just as, if not more, important. This is a subject our friend “F” over at Screwdowncrown.com touched on recently in a recent post…
