We are social creatures and because of this we often like to compare what we have to what other have and this of course can lead to envy. Of course, most of us are aware that we sometimes play the status game and yet we also unknowingly play it too. Being watch nerds, it hard to avoid the status game with watches – everyone likes playing the game of one-upmanship, it’s in our nature. Even when we don’t want to play this game, we are still playing. It’s so easy to get sucked into to these games on social media. But what if we stopped doing this and just enjoyed what we have and stopped focusing on those who had more than us. Of course, this would lead to a more peaceful us. However, some people perhaps go a little too far and let their status get the better of them, before stopping and seeking the truth within. Our friend “F” recently concluded Pt.3 of his social comparison post, which is a great eye opener in to why we can unknowingly become envious of even those close to us.
