Back in 2021 a friend of ours known as “F” titled “Social Status and Watch Collecting” and last week he posted part two of said post. Of course, most of us are aware that we sometimes play the status game and yet we also unknowingly play it too. Being watch nerds, it hard to avoid the status game with watches – everyone likes playing the game of one-upmanship, it’s in our nature. Even when we don’t want to play this game, we are still playing. It’s so easy to get sucked into to these games on social media but if there is one thing we’ve learn’t from all the years that we have been doing this – play the game, enjoy the game, and don’t take it too seriously but ultimately make connections with people. However, some people perhaps go a little too far and let their status get the better of them, before stopping and seeking the truth…
